The main purpose for traveling to rainforests is for studies and education. Many educators travel the rivers hoping to discover new species. Many University professors travel down to The Amazon to conduct research and studies. Because the rainforests are so saturated in specimens, it is a great live laboratory for new scientists to carefully explore. For tourists, traveling and staying in lodges located in this region is simply a learning experience from the beginning to the end. Some scientists travel down the Amazon river and the surrounding tropical areas because they want to try to preserve endangered species. Unfortunately, there are a great number of species that are slowly dying away due to human caused destruction.

Another reason why people tend to travel these tropical countries during vacations is for the amazing beach, food, drinks and of course, the warm weather. Especially during winter breaks, flights to these hot countries are heavily booked.
