Can I feed my tropical fish with live food?

Another type of food you can give your fish to make sure they get the nutrients they need is living things such as worms, brine shrimp or other living fish. These are all high in protein but there are disadvantage to each one. For example worms can carry deadly diseases which if your fish eat will fall ill and need treating if the effects are not fatal. If you choose brine shrimp make sure you keep the amount small and never feed them after the sell by date otherwise they could become infected. If you give them smaller live fish you have to see if your fish will actually eat them, not all fish are cannibals.
