Bringing a new fish into the family?

Its common sense, that before you actually got your fish it’s been on a long journey and maybe switched hands a fair few times. The place they will have been the longest more times then not is the pet shop you got it from. You should look out for a quarantine tank in the pet shop as when they receive new fish they should check them out for disease and infections before putting them in with the other fish to avoid contamination. If possible it’s recommended that you do the same. There is nothing worse then bringing a new fish into the tank and having it contaminate your existing fish with disease.
